
Kelvin MacDonald is Senior Departmental Fellow at the Department of Land Economy, Cambridge and is the Specialist Adviser on planning policy to the House of Commons' Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Select Committee.
He was an Infrastructure Planning Commissioner and then an Examining Inspector for nationally significant infrastructure projects at the Planning Inspectorate leading on energy and transport projects.
He was previously the Chief Policy Adviser to the Royal Town Planning Institute and a Trustee of national homeless charity Shelter. He is now the Chair of local homeless and mental health charity, BHT Sussex.
He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and of the Royal Town Planning Institute and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
